Women’s History Month Employee Highlight – Peggy Casad Lee

As we continue to celebrate Women’s History Month, we had the pleasure to sit down with one of our employees, Peggy Casad Lee! Check out her answers below to learn about her favorite “shero”, quote, and women-owned business!

Who are some of your “sheroes” or women who have had an impact on your life?

My mother – she has strength beyond measure, is an avid animal lover, a smart business person, and made sacrifices over the years to give her children a good life. She fought tirelessly and thrived in a male predominant profession, and the fruits of her many years of commitment and persistence are that much more enjoyable because of her earned respect and success.

I’ll always and forever be my mom’s biggest fan!

What is your favorite quote or wise words from a woman?

What is your favorite women-owned business?

Glassybaby is a local WA company founded by Lee Rhodes, and their artisans make handblown glass votives and drinking glasses. Each Glassybaby you give to somebody you love (including yourself) also makes another gift: a donation to non-profits that promote hope and healing

To date, Glassybaby has donated $15M and counting to support people, care for animals and protect the planet.
