Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) Reflections

Spring is here and as we kickoff this month of May, we also celebrate Asian-American and Pacific Islander Month, a time set aside to honor and celebrate Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) who have enriched America’s history and are instrumental in its future success.

With the rise of hate crimes and racism against the AAPI community in recent months the nation has come together to #StopAsianHate and uplift the AAPI community. At JeffreyM we stand with our colleagues, clients and employees in celebrating the rich culture of the AAPI Community and the fight against racism facing Asian-Americans.

Last month, in our company-wide book club we were able to dig deeper into conversations examining race in America guided by the book ‘So You Want To Talk About Race.’ By Ijeoma Olou. We also shared additional Bystander Intervention training with our employees to equip them with techniques on how to safely intervene when they see or experience anti-Asian harassment.
